Corporate culture,
acknowledged by its large employee team, by cognition and
reasons, has the power to navigate, bind, and inspire; thus
instilling enthusiasm in the company, where employees may
effectively fulfill their capability in harmony. This is
seen as the driving power of a modern enterprise. Thus,
since the beginning, Merro has always emphasized on the
importance of establishing a distinguished culture of Merro
International.
To build a Merro culture based on its core value, is
"spreading culture of health preservation in thousands of
years, existing only for the health of mankind" as its
corporate mission. More then three years, Merro has worked
towards this goal, not merely to produce the world's best
health product through research and technology, but, most
important to understand its clients, and to give its
consumers the best health consultation and product services.
"Existing only for the health of mankind", is to bring the
gift of health and prosperity to every home. Year 2005
marked a revolutionary milestone in the history of direct
selling in China. In the face of competition and
opportunity, Merro International has a long journey to go in
establishing its culture and realizing its corporate value,
achieving continuous growth. More self-assessment, research,
analysis, reasoning, designing, planning has to be done, if
such momentum is to continue.
One: Merro Agent must adopt a scientific mindset
The core values of Merro International are: harmony,
loyalty, diligence, and achievement. And I think a
scientific mindset has strategic significance while
contributing to the survival and development of Merro
International and its cultural building in long term.
With its core value defined, we will know that every move
engaged by the enterprise is principle-driven, and will be
the corner stone of our corporate culture. Value generates
vision, vision generates strategy. But many enterprises have
failed in executing its strategies. Why? The reason is:
Their strategies are detached from customer value. Once the
strategy is founded on customer value, execution comes
naturally. As in the event of Merro International, agent and
customers are our source of livelihood. Thus we must deliver
the value of quality service and reliability, in order to
maximize the value of live.
Two: How a Merro International culture is built on its core
value
I think we should begin at the structure of corporate
culture. Building on the interim results of corporate
culture cultivation, from corporate material culture, system
culture, spiritual culture, etc, where a perpetual Merro
International culture is built on its core value.
I. Corporate images building and branding implementation
One knows an enterprise, first, from its external image,
thus a positive corporate image is crucial to the
development of a business. Corporate image building is a
long term cultural project, which includes many aspects.
Branding is the core of corporate image building, and it is
a long term systematic project. In terms of implementation,
it must have a substantial foundation, as its starting
point, and as its final point. While substance is prior to
publicity, it can only be realized as a gradual development
process of the company.
A holistic material culture, system culture and spiritual
culture.
Material culture: To establish the long term goal of Merro
International, and strategic planning. Systematic employee
education and development must be enhanced. And there must
be healthy and complementing content, method, and
infrastructure to establish a working environment that is
conducive, clean and convenient, with an encouraging welfare
system – realistic to every employee.
System culture: The management, with its distinguished
enterprise features, that is healthy and effective, to
complement the regulations in various aspect of the work,
where every link and responsibility is defined and
normalized, so a Merro agent has a set of norms, and totally
dedicated to establishing this corporate system. This is
also a system of reward, and team-work, where every Merro
agent forms an intimate and harmony relationship with each
other, which would then be discernable as the culture of
Merro International.
Spiritual culture: The essential elements of Merro
International – dependable, versatile, fulfilling, and
self-cultivating; which must further nurture, shape,
develop, and generate a distinguishable Merro International
value.
Three: A Merro agent must walk the talk to maximize the
value of life.
To pursue excellence, maximize life's value, a Merro agent
must be equipped with these qualities:
People-first: to live as a human being means one must first
learn to live life, then, learn to accomplish things. A man
of integrity is sincere, trustworthy, and considerate to
people.
Goal-oriented: to set short term, mid term, and long term
goals, which are the source of inspirations to pursue and
achieve success.
Responsibility-driven: to be responsible to society and
family. Social responsibility is the mission of one's
career, without which, money would be the ultimate concern,
which not only put a client at risk, but one's income and
its market, and finally one's livelihood is destroyed.
Family responsibility means one must deliver health and
wealth, love and protection, harmony and happiness to one's
family members.
Principle-centered: to enhance personal cultivation, manner,
and politeness, in words and in action, and to be sensitive,
among colleagues, towards clients. There must be respect,
tolerance, and friendship, which would reflect the ethics,
culture and image of a Merro International people, by which
a Merro agent would share its corporate culture and enhance
its brand value.
Positive attitude: to live life positively. In every dealing
and change, always full of gratitude. As life is a gift of
nature and grace, thank the gift of nature: the sun, air,
water, etc; thank the love of parents and societies,
families, colleagues, friends, strangers, for their help and
more. Thus to show love and return love is life's mission.
Innovation is our entrusted mission in this epoch; demanded
by the rising market. As there is no limit to knowledge and
possibility, we must work hard for new discoveries, to
perfect our product, service and market. To review ourselves
in market's perspective, to see our shortcomings and
problems, is to advance faster and further. To be an
outstanding employee, one must overcome his weakness,
correct his senses. Creative and energetic employees must
always stand out of the crowd, and display their talents and
skills as the opportunities arise.
In short, Merro people's objective is to maximize the value
of life. One shares a common cause in Merro International's
corporate value, where Merro International brightening the
