Board Chairman Xia Li was born in 1953 into a renowned Chinese medical family, titled senior economist.

Mr. Xia Li has been in the management and scientific research for 26 years, and gained abundant management experience in the medical and health care industry, and excellent results in scientific research. In 2004, he established HK Merro International Biology Group Co., Ltd and had been acting as Board Chairman till now. While working in Dalian Pharmaceutical Company, he got commendation from Dalian Municipal Government many times for his outstanding performance. While working for Zhuhai Dongxin Pharmaceutical Company, he transformed it from a company at loss of three million Yuan into a star one with fifty million Yuan in payoff. The story covers a whole page of Zhuhai Daily. Through years of scientific research in fungus polysaccharide, he helped the company become the only fungus manufacturer in China which is approved by the national government. His research in fungus polysaccharide is the most advanced in the world. He is therefore respected as a designer in fungus polysaccharide industry. He has gained patents of "New National Food Resource" and "Health Care Food" with the approval of Ministry of Health. So far, he has achieved more than ten items of intellectual property. Mr. Xia Li is currently a director of Dalian Red Cross. He loves our country and has enthusiasm in social commonweal. In 2004 when the earthquake and tsunami in the Indian Ocean caused world-shaking disaster, he called on all the agents of Merro International to spread humanitarianism by actively devoting themselves into the donation campaign organized by local charity institutions.
